From thinking about animals homes, we thought about our own. We all rent student houses and so when we moved in they were, blank empty and bare. We have now made them our own, and put our own individuality and personality into them. Therefore when you walk into people's rooms, you can tell aspects about them, from seeing how they have decorated it. This is a concept which would be interesting for us to explore further.
This is my room, which I feel I have made personal to me. My favourite colour is purple, so this is the colour scheme which I went for when I chose all of my personal things. I feel that it reflects me and my own personality.
I think these ideas are something we could look into. It links with the idea of spiders homes which are crafted, and these are something which we craft in order to make personal for ourselves.

I think its really interesting to look at our own spaces that we live in and see how they reflect our personality without us really thinking much about it! I would be interested to see pictures of my room with the different tenants in it throughout the years to see how much it has changed having different individuals staying it. How do you think we could develop this idea further to reflect it in the form of textiles or a final presentation?
